
Perth-Andover wins GF swimming competition


Perth-Andover swimmers defeated all comers to clinch the latest round in the Western Valley swim compettion held in Grand Falls on Saturday.
Perth-Andover clinched first place with 477 points; while Grand Falls was second with 414 points. The new community of Florenceville-Bristol placed third with 235 points; Plaster Rock was fourth with 132 points; fifh-place Bath earned 120 points; and Hartland finished with 22 points.
From different categories, the top swimmers were:
Girls, 8 years and under, Taylor Riddle, with 16 points from Perth-Andover; Boys, 8 years and under, Ethan Francis, with 21 points from Grand Falls; Girls, 9-10 years, Olivia Matheson, with 21 points from Perth-Andover and Caissie Hall, with 21 points from Bath;
Boys, 9-10 years, Kyle Pearson, with 21 points from Perth-Andover; Girls, 11-12 years, Meghan Lord, with 19 points from Florenceville-Bristol and Morgyn Eccleston-Malm with 19 points from Perth-Andover;
Boys, 11-12 years, Tyson Fitzherbert, with 21 points from Plaster Rock; Girls, 13-14 years, Kimberly Tepper, with 19 points from Grand Falls, Maya Brayall with 19 points from Perth-Andover;
Boys, 13-14 years, Clinton Matheson, with 21 points from Perth-Andover;
Girls, 15-19 years, Stephanie Tepper, with 21 points from Grand Falls;
Boys, 15-19 years, Ricko Kavanaugh, with 17 points from Grand Falls, and Brandon Warren, with 17 points from Plaster Rock.
