McCain Cataracts of Grand Falls don new uniforms

On July 13 2008, the McCain Cataracts of Grand Falls received new uniforms by Chris Petty, Manager of McCain Foods Ltd in Grand Falls. The Grand Falls team was hosting the Chatman Head Tigers last Sunday during a double header at Centennial Park.
The Cataracts went back on the victory road by embarrassing the Tigers 10-0 and 10-0, after being beaten twice last Saturday in Tracadie. Andrew Meek, left hand thrower, stole the show in the opening game tossing a two hitter and striking out nine Tigers batters to record the win in the mound.
Alex Rideout drove in three runs with a pair of hits while lead off batter Eric Moreau singled three times. In the night cap, Jason Walsh scattered four hits to pick-up his second win on the mound against no lost. The Tigers committed five errors in the game.
With the pair of victories, the Cataracts now have a record of 10 wins and two losses. On the weekend, the Cataracts will play four games at home. On Saturday night the team plays a double header under the lights, with the New Cardinals starting at 6 p.m. On Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m., the Cataracts will try to take their revenge against Tracadie Alpines.
