Play Group

The Madawaska Victoria Family Resource Centre Inc. offers a "play group", free of charge, every Monday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the St. Andrew's United Church. in Plaster Rock. In the Grand Falls region, we also provide a free "play group" for families with young children, every Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at 475 Terrace Street, Unit E. Genealogy Club

The Grand Falls Genealogy Club meets every second Tuesday of each month at the activity room of the Grand Falls Public Library, at 7 p.m. For information: Denise Koroscil at 473-6139 or Anne Côté at 473-4881.

Genealogy group

Tobique Valley Genealogy and family history group meets at the Plaster Rock Public School Library on the first Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. For more information call Patty Corey at 356-2275.

Stitchery group

Meets every fourth Monday of the month. Located at the Perth-Andover Middle School at 6:30 p.m. For more information, call Pat at 274-3995.

Mason's breakfast

Last Sunday of every month, at Perth-Andover Masonic Hall, 8 a.m.

Grand Falls meetings

The next monthly public meetings of Grand Falls Town Council will be held at 7 p.m. on the following dates: August 12, September 9, October 14, November 12 and December 16.

Drummond meetings

The next monthly public meetings of Drummond Village Council will be held at 7:30 p.m. on the following dates: August 11, September 8, October 20, November 10 and December 15.

The Victoria Star welcomes submissions to the community bulletin board. Eligible submissions are accepted for non-profit, community-minded events that are free of charge to the public. To submit your event, e-mail a brief description, date, time and place to news@victoriastar.ca. Phone and fax submissions will not be accepted.
