Golf club needs members to thrive

Imagine that at a few minutes' drive from your home, your place of work, your business, organization or office that there is a place, in a beautiful natural setting, where you can go meet friends, business partners, suppliers, clients, etc., and discuss everything and nothing while having fun and exercising away from the noises and hubbub of the town.
It is quite possible that you will see a moose, a deer, a family of foxes or other wild animals and birds of all kinds like eagles, blue jays, redheaded woodpeckers, partridges, families of ducks on the ponds, etc. No, you are not at the Quebec Zoo or paradise, but close. You are at the Grand Falls Golf Club. And you can take advantage of all this during about 25 weeks a year for approximately $30 per week. Unbelievable, but true.
It is not surprising that most people from outside the area who have played at the Grand Falls Golf Club are amazed by the design and quality of our course. They describe our course as "the best kept secret in New Brunswick".
What can we do to improve and assure the continuing viability of this important infrastructure? The easiest solution is to become a member of the Grand Falls Golf Club.
A golf club in an area like ours is an infrastructure that is just as important as an arena, a playground, schools, etc. If we are to attract more businesses, manufacturers, professionals and tourists to this area and keep the existing interests, we must make the necessary effort to keep our golf course. Moreover, we are convinced that such facilities help keep delinquency rates lower by offering an opportunity to practice a sport that they will be able to enjoy for the rest of their lives.
Members of this community have already spent some hard-earned money towards trying to keep this facility. We are convinced that together, we can succeed in achieving this objective for the well-being of this region.
We ask you to communicate with either the Chamber of Commerce (473-1905) or the Grand Falls Golf Club (473-4494) and someone will be happy to answer your questions or visit you and provide more information on becoming a member of our club.
Together we can be part of the solution.
