Class of 1958 graduates share memories

Members of the 1958 graduating class of the Grand Falls Composite School met on Saturday, July 5 to share memories and laughs. They included, left to right: Charles McCluskey, Martin Mazerolle, Gloria Laforest Parent, Barbara Blanchette Gagnon, Camille Poitras, Cléo Morin Gagnon, Kathleen McLaughlin Davis, Liza Vautour Poitras, Guy Ouellette, Joan Gillespie Tweedie, Gerald Powers and Peter Folster. Absent: Louis Guimont, Candide Laforge O’Rourke, Marie-Mai Perreault Hatch, Irene Michaud Fitzpatrick, Dorothy Zolondek Ginzel, Jacqueline Côté Stevens, Arnold McCarthy, Maurice Aubut, Zita Michaud Vanbuskirk and Floyd McManus. Two deceased graduates, Marilyn Carrier and Susan McLaughlin, were fondly remembered by the group. Other activities organized during the reunion included a social gathering at the local Marina on Friday evening as well as the alumni breakfast held earlier that Saturday morning at the John Caldwell School and a pontoon boat ride on the St. John River.
