Hello all, as you may have noticed from the front page we are gearing up here at CanadaEast for a technology upgrade of our account page. We hope that the improvements we will be rolling out will mean more useful and easier to use account management tools and features.
As part of this change we will soon be requiring all of our site users to have usernames associated with their account. This is in part so that up to two users may use the same newspaper subscription while having their own accounts, as is often the request of married couples and roomates who enjoy reading the paper.
On October 2, 2007 we'll be making the switch. If you've set your username before then you won't notice any inconvenience, just a host of new features available on your account page.
This change will also make it much easier for new subscribers to the paper to get their online access quickly and easily, without having to call a customer service representative as they often do now.
We'll also be opening up site registration to the public so that even those who aren't newspaper subscribers can join in discussions and contribute to our online community.
Please feel free to ask any questions or leave any comments you may have about these changes in the comments to this post. Our team is constantly monitoring this blog.
