HALIFAX - Riders of a Halifax metro transit bus witnessed a frightening confrontation Friday evening.

Police say a man boarded the bus on Herring Cove Road with two pellet guns in his waist band.

Another passenger observed this and grabbed the man with the guns and hit him several times.

He then threw the man with the pellet guns off the bus and broke one of the guns.

There were no threats made to other passengers and no injuries.

Police interviewed both men and have decided not to lay charges at this time.
