Halifax police arrest man wanted for five bank robberies in the city

HALIFAX - Police in Halifax have arrested two men after a bank robbery Saturday, with one of the men also facing charges for four other bank robberies.

Police say a man entered a TD Canada Trust on Saturday and produced a note demanding cash.

He left with an undisclosed amount of money and was arrested shortly after leaving the bank.

A 50-year-old man is facing five charges related to bank robberies that date back to July 4 of this year.

Police say a second man, who is 62, was also arrested in relation to Saturday's bank robbery.

The names of the two men have not been released.
