Pizza plant receives gold safety award

Fred Schaeffer, President and CEO of McCain Foods (Canada), (left) joins Pizza Plant Manager Jean Thériault (right) and Julie Grant, Shift Staffing Coordinator, after presenting the Presidentis Gold Health and Safety Award on August 13. The plant was recognized for exceeding 500,000 man-hours with no lost time from incidents. Grand Falls Cold Storage was named the safest facility in Canada in the small work group category and the French fry plant was cited for its record of 250,000 man-hours with no lost time.
