Members of the Plaster Rock Garden Club are hoping whoever took one of the giant flower baskets from the Welcome Center will put it back.

On Friday, July 25, a member of staff at the Plaster Rock Tourist Park noticed during the evening that one of the baskets was missing from the front of the Welcome Center and that one of the flower boxes had been vandalized.

Staff at the park has been diligently watering the flowers that members of the garden club planted there. Garden club members noted they invested additional time and energy this year in making the flowers look special for this Tobique Homecoming weekend and members are devastated to have their work damaged or stolen.

The garden club and the village of Plaster Rock are making a plea for the safe return of the hanging basket. Anyone with any information on the incidents is urged to call the park at 356-6077 or the RCMP or simply return the basket to its hanging place.
